Concept
The project was created as a result of an in-depth analysis of the history, tradition and space of the city of Jastrzębie-Zdrój. There is a confrontations between mining industry and the spa. The spa started the development of the city, while workers’ estates shaped around the mines, which are today an indispensable landscape of Jastrzębie-Zdrój. Both elements had a huge impact on the shaping of the city structure and undoubtedly stuck in the consciousness of the inhabitants. In the project, we decided to combine them. Although they are opposites, they have an unquestionable impact on the character of urban space and the identity of the inhabitants.
